About Us

The Pantry is a gathering place that brings people together around food, classes, and shared meals. We educate people on traditional food crafts and the larger food system with a focus on stories and social justice. We create inspiring food careers that encourage building relationships within both the Pantry family and the larger community.

The Pantry Family

Founded by Brandi Henderson in 2011, The Pantry is more than just a business. It’s a family of friends, brought together by their mutual love of food and communion. We may have different backgrounds and different interests, but we’re all happy cooking, teaching, gardening, and dreaming up new ways to bring people together at our table. Click on our names to learn a little bit about how we each found our way to The Pantry, and what we stay busy with here.

Our Partners

We wouldn’t be the Pantry without our community – our friends and neighbors who help fill our table with food, love, and good conversation. Because the Pantry’s mission overlaps with so many great organizations, we want to share the many ways we connect and give back.

As a small business, we aim to support local makers in the greater Seattle area, and are proud to work with folks who contribute to the betterment of our larger community. Whether collecting honey from our favorite local pollinators or seeding oysters in our salty PNW waters, we are honored to share our kitchen with friends like:
