Duration: 3 hoursType: In-PersonPrice: $140

Winter is a time for cozy, comforting food that keeps your belly warm and satisfied. Join Shri Repp as she how to source and use South Indian ingredients to create a delicious winter meal. In this class you will make an Indian mutton soup with tender goat simmered alongside ginger, black pepper, and onion that is sure to cure any cold. You will make chow chow kootu (a creamy and buttery lentil and squash stew) that you will ladle over fluffy basmati rice; cabbage poriyal (stir fried cabbage with curry leaves, chilis, and freshly grated coconut); and crispy masala vadas (lentil, onion, and curry leaf fritters) fried to golden perfection. You’ll finish this cozy meal with a warm javvarisi payasam (sweet cardamom tapioca pudding with a ghee-toasted raisins and nuts.)

Cancellation Policy

All class and event purchases at The Pantry are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, you are always welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend or family member.

We understand that plans can change. When possible, we are happy to offer a credit or a transfer to a future event if we are able to fill your spot from our waitlist. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are not eligible for credit or transfer, as we are typically unable to fill those spots on short notice.
