Vienna is known for its immense influence on the breads and pastries of the world, but the Viennese cafe has more to offer than a case of sweet treats! Join Stefan Milne in class where you’ll learn the history of Viennese cafe culture as you make a few of his favorite classics. On the menu: Frittatensuppe (beef consomme with homemade crepe noodles and chives); Schnitzel (breaded and pan-fried pork cutlet) with Erdäpfelsalat and Preiselbeere (potatoes with vinaigrette and lingonberry sauce); Gurkensalat (cucumber salad with sour cream and dill); and Kaiserschmarrn (a large souffled pancake) with Zwetschkenröster (a spiced plum compote).

Please note: some classes can be adjusted for students with dietary restrictions, but many cannot. If you’re vegetarian, pescatarian, or gluten-free, you can use the drop-down menu on our events page to view the best classes to fit your needs. If a class you’re interested in doesn’t appear in that filtered view, please email us before registering and we’ll see if the class’s menu can be modified.

All class and event purchases at The Pantry are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, you are always welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend or family member.

We understand that plans can change. When possible, we are happy to offer a credit or a transfer to a future event if we are able to fill your spot from our waitlist. Because our classes are small and ingredient-driven, this is not guaranteed and depends on demand and timing. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are not eligible for credit or transfer, as we are typically unable to fill those spots on short notice.
