If you think vegan baking is all about compromise, think again! We are thrilled to welcome Flora Bakehouse chef Bernadette Biela to our kitchen to guide us through the ins and outs of how to produce plant-based cookies and bars. She’ll discuss grocery store substitutes and homemade cooking staples to add to your toolbelt, and share tips and tricks for making vegan bakes that taste like their dairy-filled cousins. On the menu: mango sticky rice drop cookies; Black Forest chocolate crinkle cookies; Key lime meringue bars; and thyme and sage shortbread. You’ll leave this class saying, “No eggs, no dairy…no problem!”
Please note: some classes can be adjusted for students with dietary restrictions, but many cannot. If you’re vegetarian, pescatarian, or gluten-free, you can use the drop-down menu on our events page to view the best classes to fit your needs. If a class you’re interested in doesn’t appear in that filtered view, please email us before registering and we’ll see if the class’s menu can be modified.
All class and event purchases at The Pantry are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, you are always welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend or family member.
We understand that plans can change. When possible, we are happy to offer a credit or a transfer to a future event if we are able to fill your spot from our waitlist. Because our classes are small and ingredient-driven, this is not guaranteed and depends on demand and timing. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are not eligible for credit or transfer, as we are typically unable to fill those spots on short notice.
