The Georgian Table: Khachapuri

Georgia (the country, not the state!) has some of the most unique food in Eastern Europe, with a curious mix of spices. Join Marie Rutherford as she teaches you some of her favorite Georgian dishes, with flavors that feel both familiar and far away. On the menu: khachapuri (yeasted bread filled with farm cheese and butter); badrijani nigvzit (roasted eggplant stuffed with garlic, black pepper and walnuts; abkhazura (spicy meatballs) with tkamal (sour plum sauce); and mtvane lobios borani (spicy green beans with yogurt and herbs).

Please note: some classes can be adjusted for students with dietary restrictions, but many cannot. All class and event purchases at The Pantry are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, you are always welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend or family member.

We understand that plans can change. When possible, we are happy to offer a credit or a transfer to a future event if we are able to fill your spot from our waitlist. Because our classes are small and ingredient-driven, this is not guaranteed and depends on demand and timing. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are not eligible for credit or transfer, as we are typically unable to fill those spots on short notice.
