Tex-Mex Classics

Duration: 3 hoursType: In-PersonPrice: $145

Born from the blending of Mexican foodways with the influences of the American Southwest, Tex-Mex cuisine is rich in Spanish and Indigenous culture and adapted from Tejano home cooking. Tex-Mex cuisine has since grown beyond its humble roots and stretched across dinner tables throughout the United States. Join Gino Garcia and learn how to make El Paso-style queso dip (cheese dip with charred green chiles and tomato relish); San Antonio chili (braised pork and beef, charred chiles, and onions); Tex-Mex borracho beans (pinto beans with charred tomatoes and chiles, Mexican dark beer, and shredded orange cheese); Pan de Campo (cast-iron cooked bread); and pecan Mexican wedding cookies.

Cancellation Policy

All class and event purchases at The Pantry are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, you are always welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend or family member.

We understand that plans can change. When possible, we are happy to offer a credit or a transfer to a future event if we are able to fill your spot from our waitlist. Because our classes are small and ingredient-driven, this is not guaranteed and depends on demand and timing. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are not eligible for credit or transfer, as we are typically unable to fill those spots on short notice.
