The ancient Greeks called Southern Italy “the Land of Wine,” and wines from this region are bold, full-bodied, and satisfying. While they may not be as familiar to many of us as the famous Northern wines of Piedmont or Tuscany, the wines of Italy’s southern regions are not to be overlooked. In this class, sommelier Janet Beeby will show you what’s special about Southern Italian wines via a survey of the major varieties of the region. This class will include wine tastings and delicious regional food pairings!
