Along the Mekong River and throughout the coastal cities, towns and villages of Southeast Asia, seafood is more than a meal—it's a celebration. Families gather around tables layered with fresh catches, fragrant herbs, steaming rice, and shared sauces. Blending the flavors of Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines, Soy Dara draws from those traditions and brings you the seafood boil of your dreams! You’ll prepare Dungeness crab, head-on prawns, and mussels which you’ll then enjoy with lemongrass-garlic butter; Thai green curry with homemade green curry paste; homemade Lao sausage; garlic jasmine rice; scallion oil pancakes; coconut-braised greens; and jeow som—Laos' vibrant dipping sauce to bring it all together!
Please note: some classes can be adjusted for students with dietary restrictions, but many cannot. If you’re vegetarian, pescatarian, or gluten-free, you can use the drop-down menu on our events page to view the best classes to fit your needs. If a class you’re interested in doesn’t appear in that filtered view, please email us before registering and we’ll see if the class’s menu can be modified.
All class and event purchases at The Pantry are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, you are always welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend or family member.
We understand that plans can change. When possible, we are happy to offer a credit or a transfer to a future event if we are able to fill your spot from our waitlist. Because our classes are small and ingredient-driven, this is not guaranteed and depends on demand and timing. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are not eligible for credit or transfer, as we are typically unable to fill those spots on short notice.
