Singaporean Crab with Marimakan Crab House

Duration: 3 hoursType: In-PersonPrice: $150

Rachel Ranti has been wowing fans all over Seattle with her instantly famous pop-up Marimaken Crab House. Born in Indonesia and raised in Singapore, she cooks food inspired by what she experienced visiting Singaporean hawker centers with her grandma, full of memories and flavor. Please join her in this special class, where she’ll teach you how to create at home one of Singapore’s most iconic dishes: Singapore-style chili crab. You’ll learn how to select, humanely kill, and stir-fry local Dungeness crab with tomato and spices, and sop up the extra sauce with mian bao sia (shrimp toast) and sauteed spinach with garlic. You’ll get your hands dirty, and gain another way to enjoy the Pacific Northwest’s crab bounty.

Please note: some classes can be adjusted for students with dietary restrictions, but many cannot. Cancellation Policy

All class and event purchases at The Pantry are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, you are always welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend or family member.

We understand that plans can change. When possible, we are happy to offer a credit or a transfer to a future event if we are able to fill your spot from our waitlist. Because our classes are small and ingredient-driven, this is not guaranteed and depends on demand and timing. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are not eligible for credit or transfer, as we are typically unable to fill those spots on short notice.
