Mexican Holiday Baking

Duration: 3 hoursType: In-PersonPrice: $140

The holidays are a time for traditions, and for people around the world, that includes baked treats that have become a symbol of warmth and togetherness among friends and family. In Mexico, the craft of making holiday pastries continues to be passed down through generations, serving as a testament to their dedication to preserving its gastronomic identity. Whether enjoyed with a cup of rich Mexican hot chocolate or as a sweet ending to a hearty meal, these traditional Mexican sweets continue to carry a unique history and regional variation. Join Mayra Sibrian in class where you’ll learn how to make soft and chewy puerquitos, also known as marranitos (pig-shaped gingerbread); churros con cajeta (rich piped doughnuts enjoyed with goat milk caramel); buñuelos (sweet dough fried and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar); and cuernitos (pecan cookies dipped in dark chocolate).
