When we’re searching for warmth and comfort in the cold days of winter, the warm and cozy dishes of Laos have much to offer. Rich soups and curries warm the soul, reminding us of all the sunny months that always return. Join Boby Pradachith in class to make thom khem (pork belly braised in fish sauce caramel, with ginger, lychee, soft-boiled egg, and crispy shallots); khao piak khao (rice congee with poached chicken, chili oil, scallions, cilantro, and crispy garlic); moak naw mai (green curry-marinated bamboo shoots steamed in banana leaves, with mushrooms and dill); som pak (rice-fermented green cabbage); and khao mak pauv (steamed coconut rice).
Please note: some classes can be adjusted for students with dietary restrictions, but many cannot. If you’re vegetarian, pescatarian, or gluten-free, you can use the drop-down menu on our events page to view the best classes to fit your needs. If a class you’re interested in doesn’t appear in that filtered view, please email us before registering and we’ll see if the class’s menu can be modified.
All class and event purchases at The Pantry are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, you are always welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend or family member.
We understand that plans can change. When possible, we are happy to offer a credit or a transfer to a future event if we are able to fill your spot from our waitlist. Because our classes are small and ingredient-driven, this is not guaranteed and depends on demand and timing. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are not eligible for credit or transfer, as we are typically unable to fill those spots on short notice.
