Kids Camp: Street Food of the World (Ages 9 - 11)

Duration: 4 hoursType: In-PersonPrice: $510

The Pantry is excited to announce the return of our kids culinary camps! This 5-day hands-on class for kids will explore some of our favorite street foods from around the world. We’ll start the week in Vietnam making banh mi and fresh salad rolls. Then we’re off to Malaysia for chicken satay with peanut sauce and Teh Tarik (pulled milk tea) to wash it all down. Wednesday finds us in Palestine making man'aeesh (Arab flatbreads with a variety of tasty toppings), and on Thursday we’ll head to Colombia for arepas (stuffed cornmeal cakes) and patacones (fried plantains). Last but not least we will visit Mexico for tacos, street corn, and homemade strawberry horchata! We’ll finish each day with a family-style meal filled with dishes we made in class, and the students will make and decorate a cookbook for all their recipes.

Please note: some classes can be adjusted for students with dietary restrictions, but many cannot. If you’re vegetarian, pescatarian, or gluten-free, you can use the drop-down menu on our events page to view the best classes to fit your needs. If a class you’re interested in doesn’t appear in that filtered view, please email us before registering and we’ll see if the class’s menu can be modified.

Cancellation Policy

All class and event purchases at The Pantry are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, you are always welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend or family member.

We understand that plans can change. When possible, we are happy to offer a credit or a transfer to a future event if we are able to fill your spot from our waitlist. Because our classes are small and ingredient-driven, this is not guaranteed and depends on demand and timing. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are not eligible for credit or transfer, as we are typically unable to fill those spots on short notice.
