Indian Street Food: Delhi

Duration: 3½ hoursType: In-PersonPrice: $135

Street food is a way of life in India, a reason for people to escape from their daily routines. As the work day comes to a close, streets start filling up, with car hoods serving as tables and food vendors luring anyone looking for an edible escape. In this class Esha Bhandarkar will feature local favorites from the city of Delhi (in northern India) that you can find all year round. On the menu: kadhi pakora (onion fritters in a tangy, yogurt and chickpea curry); achari chicken tikka (chicken thighs marinated in a flavorful marinade and chargrilled); aloo chaat (fried, spiced potatoes topped with chutney and fried garbanzo noodles); jeera chawal (basmati rice tempered with ghee, cumin, cardamom and bay leaves); and pudine ki chutney (mint chutney) along with sonth (sweet, tangy chutney).

Please note: some classes can be adjusted for students with dietary restrictions, but many cannot. Cancellation Policy

All class and event purchases at The Pantry are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, you are always welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend or family member.

We understand that plans can change. When possible, we are happy to offer a credit or a transfer to a future event if we are able to fill your spot from our waitlist. Because our classes are small and ingredient-driven, this is not guaranteed and depends on demand and timing. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are not eligible for credit or transfer, as we are typically unable to fill those spots on short notice.
