As weturn into the magical autumn season in the Pacific Northwest, we also welcome an early sunset and longer nights. In this workshop, Renée Beaudoin will help illuminate your days by showing you how to pour and dip candles. We will be making handcrafted candles with both soy and beeswax, while learning how to use clean burning wicks, how to balance essential oils and fresh foraged botanicals, and how to incorporate color. While you wait for your candles to set we will sip on mulled cider and bubbly, and feast on a snack board. You will leave with a set of hand-dipped beeswax birthday candles, two soy-based poured candles with bergamot, pear, bay, rosemary, and mugwort; and a beeswax-based poured candle finished with sage and other foraged botanicals.
Please note: some classes can be adjusted for students with dietary restrictions, but many cannot. If you’re vegetarian, pescatarian, or gluten-free, you can use the drop-down menu on our events page to view the best classes to fit your needs. If a class you’re interested in doesn’t appear in that filtered view, please email us before registering and we’ll see if the class’s menu can be modified.
All class and event purchases at The Pantry are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, you are always welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend or family member.
We understand that plans can change. When possible, we are happy to offer a credit or a transfer to a future event if we are able to fill your spot from our waitlist. Because our classes are small and ingredient-driven, this is not guaranteed and depends on demand and timing. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are not eligible for credit or transfer, as we are typically unable to fill those spots on short notice.
