Exploring France: Alsace

Duration: 3 hoursType: In-PersonPrice: $140

Join us for the latest installment in our Exploring France series, where we’ll take a tour of the different regions in this food-obsessed country. Here, Stefan Milne will take us to the Alsace-Lorraine region, where he’ll teach us about the local flavors, techniques, and traditions. You’ll make from-scratch tarte flambée forestière (baked flatbread topped with fromage blanc, mushrooms, and onions); salade de frisée, fenouil et poire (salad of frisée, fennel and pears with a walnut vinaigrette); choucroute aux poissons (local seafood with sauerkraut and a cream sauce); and pain d’epices aux pruneaux au Cognac (spiced honey rye cake with brandied prunes).

Please note: some classes can be adjusted for students with dietary restrictions, but many cannot. If you’re vegetarian, pescatarian, or gluten-free, you can use the drop-down menu on our events page to view the best classes to fit your needs. If a class you’re interested in doesn’t appear in that filtered view, please email us before registering and we’ll see if the class’s menu can be modified.

Cancellation Policy

All class and event purchases at The Pantry are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, you are always welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend or family member.

We understand that plans can change. When possible, we are happy to offer a credit or a transfer to a future event if we are able to fill your spot from our waitlist. Because our classes are small and ingredient-driven, this is not guaranteed and depends on demand and timing. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are not eligible for credit or transfer, as we are typically unable to fill those spots on short notice.
