Join Anna Wallace, owner of Seattle Seltzer Company, for this summer cocktails class, where you'll learn to make old-school cocktail ingredients from scratch for your home bar. She’ll show you all the tools and techniques you need to make craft cocktails, as well as a bit of cocktail history and some ideas for classic homemade syrups, sodas and flavoring agents. In this gin-focused class, you’ll taste the botanicals, essential oils, spices, and herbs commonly used in the gin distilling process, taste and talk about the flavor profiles of the various styles of gin, and learn how to successfully pair different styles of gin with commonly used mixers. We’ll make a trio of Negroni recipes to share and compare various methods of achieving the style that best suites each individual palate, and talk about different garnishing methods to further enhance the flavor of this classic cocktail. We will make a Summer Sloe Gin Fizz with fresh summer berries, while talking about the history and flavor profile of sloe gin. Finally we will make a Summer Cooler with Agua Fresca de Pepino (cucumber water), Terroir Gin, and pineapple juice.

We understand that plans can change. When possible, we are happy to offer a credit or a transfer to a future event if we are able to fill your spot from our waitlist. Because our classes are small and ingredient-driven, this is not guaranteed and depends on demand and timing. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are not eligible for credit or transfer, as we are typically unable to fill those spots on short notice.
