Amaro & the Aperitivo

Duration: 3 hoursType: In-PersonPrice: $145

Amaro, the complex Italian bitter liqueur, is the backbone of some of the most beloved cocktails in the canon, and as it turns out, is one of the most compelling ingredients in the non-alcoholic drink world too. Join The NA Sommelier Juanita Unger and explore the history and world of these botanically complex Amaros and celebrate one of the oldest drinking traditions in the world - the aperitivo hour. In this class you’ll learn how to build both traditional and zero-proof versions of a Summer Shrubby Spritz; Oaxaca Negroni Mezcal; and Paper Plane Bourbon. You'll then put what you've learned into practice in a make your own challenge, where you will team up to craft your own masterpiece. You'll leave with a deeper appreciation for bitterness, botanicals, and the Italian art of the aperitivo, whether your glass is fully spirited or completely free.

Cancellation Policy

All class and event purchases at The Pantry are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, you are always welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend or family member.

We understand that plans can change. When possible, we are happy to offer a credit or a transfer to a future event if we are able to fill your spot from our waitlist. Because our classes are small and ingredient-driven, this is not guaranteed and depends on demand and timing. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are not eligible for credit or transfer, as we are typically unable to fill those spots on short notice.
