Event Assistant – Culinary Job in Seattle | The Pantry

The Pantry is hiring Event Assistants for its cooking classes, catering events, and dinners. This part-time culinary job is perfect for candidates with kitchen or hospitality experience seeking weekend evening shifts in Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities: Assist instructors and guests during classes and events, support dishwashing and event service, help with setup/cleanup, and follow food safety and sanitation standards.

Schedule: Training begins July, with shifts starting August. Weekend evening availability required.

Pay & Benefits:

• Training pay: $22/hr (minimum 4 shifts)
• Tier 2 (3+ shifts/week): $26/hr classroom, $28/hr dish
• Tier 3 (under 3 shifts/week): $23/hr classroom, $28/hr dish

Who We're Looking For: A warm, socially confident team player with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and problem-solve independently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Since the Pantry is a unique place, we don't expect you to have direct experience, but we do look to see a trajectory on a resume so we can see how the Pantry would be your perfect next job. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in the culinary field.
