Few countries can claim the bragging rights for advanced pastry quite like France, so we figured it was about time we teach you how to make them at home! In this class Heather Newton will teach the history and the proper technique for her favorite classic French pastries as you make canelés de Bordeaux (rum and vanilla-flavored pastries with custardy centers and a caramelized crust); brown butter almond financiers; sesame and olive oil financiers; vanilla madeleines with orange zest; and espresso madeleines.
