Elaine Sher has been frying rice at least once a week for as long as she can remember — so there’s no one more qualified to teach this workshop on our favorite weeknight meal. You’ll learn three recipes, along with the formulas and concepts that allow you to customize your own pan-fried masterpieces. On the menu are lap coeng gai dan chow fan (classic egg fried rice with Chinese sausage), wong gam chow fan (golden egg fried rice), and a contemporary spin of Hawaiian pizza–style fried rice with pineapple, bacon, and “Chinese cheese”(fermented tofu sauce), all accompanied by stir-fried chinese broccoli with fresh ginger and garlic.

Please make sure you and your guests know to bring either their vaccination card or a photo of their card as well as their ID. Guests may be required to wear a mask during instruction, depending on the local transmission rate at the time of class (we will have some extra masks on hand if needed).
