With a stark contrast between its balmy summers and frigid winters, Sweden knows well the importance of the autumnal transition to coziness. In this class Marie Rutherford will share stories and recipes from her Swedish grandmother, diving deep into Swedish comfort food. You’ll make kottbullai (classic Swedish meatballs and gravy); rackmaka (a shrimp sandwich on rye bread); kroppkakor (steamed potato dumplings with bacon and onion); and risgrynsgröt, a bruléed rice pudding with cardamom and anise hyssop-flavored blueberries.
