Tonight we do the cooking! On the menu: Laura Pyles‘ Spring Tapas Party. Spain is famous throughout the world for its amazing food, and nothing showcases the bright flavors quite like tapas. What better way to spend a spring day, rain or shine, than tucking into some of these Spanish classics while drinking sangria!
Strawberry and black pepper sangria mix
Manchego-stuffed piquillo peppers with sherry glaze
Salt cod croquettes with alioli verde
Grilled scallions with hazelnut romesco
White gazpacho with almonds, grapes, and garlic
Almond-stuffed dates wrapped in bacon
Smashed tomato bread with olive oil and flake salt
Gató de Almendras with strawberries and spiced sherry vinegar
The meal can be made vegetarian by replacing the salt cod croquettes with potato croquettes, and the almond-stuffed dates can be made without bacon. If you would like a vegetarian meal, please select that option when you register.
Each ticket is for 2 generous servings, packaged family-style, ready to be picked up between 4:30-6pm. The meal is fully prepared, but may require reheating when you get home (we’ll provide instructions for how to do that). We are unable to provide meal delivery.
If you like to sip wine (or sangria!) while you feast, consider adding a lovingly paired bottle with your supper! The suggested pairing for this meal is the:
Chateau Haut-Blanville Rosé, 2019
