While mile-high pies are a favorite around here, sometimes you just need something a little… smaller. Common in Southern homes and bakeries, hand pies are the perfect breakfast, lunch, or dinner treat, and make a great home for summer fruit! In this class Renée Beaudoin will show you how to make flakey pie dough, and how to roll and shape it into various hand pie shapes. You’ll make savory chicken pot pies with leeks, fennel, and tarragon; baked cherry almond hand pies; and fried rhubarb hand pies with vanilla glaze.
