March 23 – To Go: The Spice Route

Tonight we do the cooking! On the menu: Hina Mughal’s Spice Route supper. On this menu you’ll find an array of dishes that are close to her heart – quintessential comfort foods of her childhood. We hope these dishes offer you a window into Pakistani culture and how Hina expresses her love for family and home. 

Each ticket is for 2 generous servings, packaged family-style, ready to be picked up any time between 4:30-6pm. The meal is fully prepared, but may require reheating when you get home (we’ll provide instructions for how to do that). We are unable to provide meal delivery.

 

Multigrain phulka (flatbread) with nigella seeds

Shahi korma (spicy braised chicken in creamy cashew sauce with ghee-sauteed sultanas) 

Achari baingan (eggplant in an aromatic spice blend) with pomegranate & walnut kachumber slaw

Daal makhani (black lentils and beans simmered with fenugreek, herbed ghee, and crispy shallots)

Basmati rice with ghee 

Gajjar ka halwa (carrot and pistachio halwa)

 

The meal can be made vegetarian by replacing the chicken korma  with cauliflower in creamy cashew sauce with ghee-sauteed sultanas). If you would like a vegetarian meal, please select that option when you register.

 


 

If you like to sip wine while you feast, consider adding a lovingly paired bottle with your supper! The pairings for this meal are:

White Wine: Domaine de la Foliette, 2018, 100% Sauvignon Blanc
