Join the always effervescent Jermaine Whitehead for this Latin spirits-focused class, where you’ll learn to make old-school cocktail ingredients from scratch for your home bar, along with all the tool and technique tips and plenty of libation history. Start your tour in South America with the Chilcano, a twist on a Moscow mule made with pisco and homemade ginger syrup. From there you’ll pour up a Lil Smokey, a complex yet approachable nod to a margarita that mixes the grassiness of Brazilian cachaca with the smoke from Mexican mezcal. A perfect drink for any occasion, the Anything Goes marries refreshing watermelon with cooling mint and spice from bitters. End the evening with a wonderful variation on an old fashioned in a Palo Negro which gathers richness from rum and the essence of orange from Grand Marnier that perfectly balance the base notes of sherry.
This is a live, hands-on cooking class held in your kitchen via Zoom. Class is meant to be as interactive as it would be at our table, with the instructor teaching you how to prepare each recipe. Each class ticket is for one kitchen, and we welcome group cooking on the same screen. To learn more about how class will go visit our FAQ page.
