Tonight we do the cooking! It’s Saint Patrick’s Day and we are ready to transport you to the farmlands of Ireland. On the menu: Renee Beaudoin’s Irish Countryside supper. Salt is in the air along the coast of Ireland and this time of year the wind will also be starting to become perfumed with wild garlic. Foraging is not a novelty in Ireland, it is something that is woven into most kitchens like second nature. From small wild herbs and edible flowers to the untamed ancient hazelnut trees – a walk is rarely just a walk.
Each ticket is for 2 generous servings, packaged family-style, ready to be picked up any time between 4:30-6pm. The meal is fully prepared, but may require reheating when you get home (we’ll provide instructions for how to do that). We are unable to provide meal delivery.
Corned lamb with crispy roasted potatoes, caramelized cabbage, garlic butter, and coriander
Forager’s soup with leeks, wild greens, hazelnut mint pesto, and yoghurt
Black pepper buttermilk soda bread with cultured butter
Watercress salad with braised beetroot, farmer’s cheese, and honey herb dressing
Guinness stout cake with whiskey cream sauce
The meal can be made vegetarian by replacing the lamb with roasted hen of the woods mushrooms. If you would like a vegetarian meal, please select that option when you register.
If you like to sip wine while you feast, consider adding a lovingly paired bottle with your supper! The pairings for this meal are:
Red Wine: Fazio Gabal, Nero D’Avola
White Wine: Domaine de la Foliette, 2018, 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Bubbles: Castell De La Comanda, Cava Brut, 40% Xarel.lo, 40% Macabeo, 20% Parellada
