March 13 – Caramel Candies

Join us in this class on our favorite chewy treat: caramel candy. Caramels are known for their finicky personality, but Katharine Wright will demystify them as she teaches you techniques for getting the flavor and texture you’re after, as well as how to shape, store, and package your homemade candy. You’ll make  lemon and bay-infused caramels and chocolate-dipped sea salt caramels, and finish class with a pile to share with your loved ones (assuming you don’t keep them all for yourself).

This is a live, hands-on cooking class held in your kitchen via Zoom. Class is meant to be as interactive as it would be at our table, with the instructor teaching you how to prepare each recipe. Each class ticket is for one kitchen, and we welcome group cooking on the same screen. To learn more about how class will go visit our FAQ page.

There are two options for gathering ingredients for this class! You can shop for your own ingredients or we are happy to pre-measure ingredients and assemble them into a kit. This ingredient kit will include candy wrappers, parchment paper, and a pastry brush. And if you like to sip wine while you cook, consider adding a lovingly paired bottle with your kit!
