After a year filled with so much trauma, the recent Israeli attacks on Gaza have us wanting to reach our arms out in support of our Palestinian friends, staff, and students. So on June 22nd we’ll be gathering to make food and share stories. In this class Nadia Tommalieh will teach you how to make mujadara bil roz (lentils, rice, and caramelized onions), salatah na’ameh (Palestinian simple salad); and laban bil na’ana w toum (yogurt, mint and garlic sauce). This class will have a gentle pace, allowing time to share and cook in solidarity. All proceeds from this class will go to the Emergency Aid for Gaza fund through Middle East Children’s Alliance.
This is a live, hands-on cooking class held in your kitchen via Zoom. Class is meant to be as interactive as it would be at our table, with the instructor teaching you how to prepare each recipe. Each class ticket is for one kitchen, and we welcome group cooking on the same screen. To learn more about how class will go visit our FAQ page.
We are not offering ingredient kits for this class. You can preview the ingredients and equipment needed by FOLLOWING THIS LINK. A few days before class we will email you a detailed recipe packet and Zoom link. All classes are listed in Pacific Time.
