Tonight we do the cooking! On the menu: Becky Selengut’s Summer Beach Boardwalk supper. Being from New Jersey, Becky has taken her fair share of jabs about her home state. But it’s called the Garden State for a reason! She grew up on the biggest lake in NJ, surrounded by farmland and her grandmother’s bountiful garden, with frequent trips to the shore. Clam bakes, smoked fish, and oodles of blueberries fill her memories and inspired this take on her home state’s cuisine.
Boardwalk popcorn with everything spice and sea salt
Beer-steeped clam bake with shrimp, fried mortadella, new potatoes, and sweet onion
“Tomato pie” toasts with mozzarella, basil oil, and chile flakes
Creamy smoked sablefish with tarragon, charred onion, and saltines
Escarole with golden beets, watermelon radish, pumpernickel croutons, and sour cream dressing
Gummy’s dilled cucumber salad with red onion
Blueberry lemon verbena bar
The meal can be made pescatarian by removing the mortadella from the clam bake. If you would like a pescatarian meal, please select that option when you register.
Each ticket is for 2 generous servings, packaged family-style, ready to be picked up any time between 4:30-6pm. The meal is fully prepared, but may require reheating when you get home (we’ll provide instructions for how to do that). We are unable to provide meal delivery.
