Crispy, fried, irresistible, Hanukkah wouldn’t be the same without latkes – a true sign of celebration. Join Asher Ramras to create your own lacy edged latke perfection as he teaches you some of his favorite recipes from his Jewish heritage with inspiration from modern flavor combinations. On the menu: Grandpa Georgie’s potato latkes, to be piled high with soy–marinated ikura (salmon roe), scallion sour cream, and apple compote with ginger, sake, and cinnamon. You’ll round out the latke party with a winter carrot and herb salad with lemon tahini dressing, and sufganiyot (traditional Jewish donuts) with yuzu cream and powdered sugar.
