Join Jermaine Whitehead for this cocktails class focused on making old-school cocktail ingredients from scratch for your home bar. He’ll show you all the tools and techniques you need to make craft cocktails, as well as a bit of cocktail history and some ideas for classic homemade syrups, sodas and flavoring agents. In this agave-focused class, you’ll learn the basics of Tequila and Mezcal, discussing blanco, reposado, and anejo. You’ll shake, swirl, and sip as you learn to make a tequila and cognac cocktail known as the Boroughs of Tacoma, and a mezcal-spiked Cafe de Olla with coffee and chocolate bitters. Also on the menu: a shaken blanco tequila Chilcano featuring strawberry, homemade ginger syrup, lime, and mint, as well as a spicy pineapple and mezcal Tropicale shaken with an egg white and poured over ice. This class is for guests that are 21 and over.
