April 16 – A Persian Feast

Join Omid Roustaei as he shows you how to make some of his favorite dishes from Iran: Khoresh fesenjoon (chicken in pomegranate and walnut sauce) and tahchin (savory saffron rice cake). You’ll learn how to layer flavors for a perfect braise, and the technique for getting that golden crust on your rice. Along the way Omid will share some the history of Persian food, and how it has influenced the ingredients and cuisines of the surrounding countries.

This is a live, hands-on cooking class held in your kitchen via Zoom. Class is meant to be as interactive as it would be at our table, with the instructor teaching you how to prepare each recipe. There are two options for gathering ingredients for this class! You can shop for your own ingredients or we are happy to pre-measure ingredients and assemble them into a 4-serving kit. And if you like to sip wine while you cook, consider adding a lovingly paired bottle with your kit!
