Mayra Sibrian was raised in California by Mexican and Salvadoran parents. After graduating from culinary school, she worked in restaurants and bakeries across Southern California and Seattle, and even appeared on Netflix’s Sugar Rush and the Food Network’s Big Time Bake.
In 2020, Mayra opened Selva Central Goods, a pop-up bakery specializing in sweet breads and pastries inspired by her roots. These baked goods use traditional and natural ingredients, sourced locally, and re-imagined to feed the creative soul — her pan dulce serves to give Seattle’s Latine community a taste of home, and to introduce her culinary culture to those who are unfamiliar.
