April Pogue comes to us with 25 years of experience in the wine world, having worked with some of the industry’s best at Spago Beverly Hills, the 5th Floor in San Francisco, Seattle’s Wild Ginger, Loulay Kitchen & Bar, and Cafe Juanita. She’s taught wine classes at PCC and the Culinary Institute of America, and has studied through the Court of Master Sommeliers. In other words, she knows more about wine than all the rest of us put together.

What inspires April, though, is connecting with others — through service, through hospitality, and through the sharing of stories that inevitably accompanies an open bottle of wine. She’s thrilled to be able to share with you (and with us!) not just her extensive knowledge about wine, but the fascination that’s at the root of it all. Here at the Pantry,  April thoughtfully pairs wine for our classes and dinners, creates our monthly wine club, and teaches classes on all things wine.
