Angela Buck-Hatter

Angela Buck Hatter came to the culinary world through an unusual path: art school. While studying painting and art history, she worked in restaurants as a server, a baker and a cook, and finally behind the bar. She soon found a creative outlet in crafting recipes, and saw the connection between the history of art and the origin stories of the cocktails she mixed.

She’s been teaching cocktail classes around Seattle for the last eight years, and we’re proud to welcome her to the roster of instructors at the Pantry, where she continues to share what she’s learned of deep cocktail lore and emerging trends in spirits. Her favorite cocktail is a cognac mint julep, or anything with gin served up.
