We are so excited to host you in our upcoming class! One week before class we will email everyone the complete shopping list and then two days before class we will email the detailed recipe packet and a Zoom link. Until then, below is a list of ingredients and equipment that you’ll need.

On the menu:
garlic radish lactopickles
sauerkraut with apples and caraway
home fermented ginger apple cider

Shopping List:
Produce:
radishes
garlic
green cabbage
tart apples
fresh ginger root

Dry Goods / Pantry:
apple cider
sea salt
sugar
filtered water (if you don’t have a water filter and prefer not to buy bottled water, simply place 5 cups of tap water in a jar and leave out overnight so any chlorine present can evaporate)

Spices:
caraway seeds

Equipment List:
4 wide mouth quart sized glass canning jars
3 4-ounce mason jars to serve as weights (optional, but recommended)
1 gallon sized glass jar (preferably wide mouth)
6 16-ounce swing top glass bottles or a recycled 2 liter plastic bottles with a screw top lid
1 large non-reactive bowl for the cabbage
A mandoline or sharp knife
A cutting board
1 foot of cheesecloth or a clean kitchen towel
2 wooden spoons
A fine mesh strainer
A funnel
