On the menu:
Lamb keema kofta (fried lamb and potato dumplings) with spiced tomato sauce
Jeera Rice (Cumin Rice Pilaf)

Shopping List:

red onion
ginger root

Roma tomatoes
Thai chili peppers
Russet potato
mint leaves


Dry Goods / Pantry:
ginger paste (can substitute with finely crushed or grated ginger)
garlic paste (can substitute with minced garlic)
white basmati rice (or any long-grained white rice)
fine breadcrumbs
high heat oil

ground lamb (or goat)

cinnamon stick
bay leaves
black peppercorns
green cardamom pods
black cardamom pods
cumin seeds
Shah Jeera black cumin seeds (or cumin seeds)
mace flower (or 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg powder or allspice)
ground coriander
garam masala
turmeric powder
Kashmiri chili/deggi mirchi/Indian paprika powder (or sweet paprika)

Medium pot (to boil water + cook lamb)
Medium pot (to boil the potato then for making the sauce)
