We are so excited to host you in our upcoming class! One week before class we will email everyone the complete shopping list and then two days before class we will email the detailed recipe packet and a Zoom link. Until then, below is a list of ingredients and equipment that you’ll need.

Wine List:
1 bottle Vinosia, Falanghina IGT, 2018
1 bottle Poggio Anima, Gabriel, Pecorino, Terre Di Chieti IGP, 2018
1 bottle Tenuta Delle Terre Nere, Etna Bianco DOC, 2018

Shopping List:
crusty baguette
eggs
milk
anchovy fillets in oil
capers
toasted almonds
toasted pistachios
garlic
Italian parsley
mint
lemon
white wine vinegar
extra virgin olive oil
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper

Equipment List:

For the food pairings:
– Whisk to mix eggs
– Small mixing bowl for mixing eggs for crostini
– Knife to cut bread
– Large skillet for flying crostini
– Spatula and or tongs for flipping crostini
– Mortar and pestle for combining zhoggiu sauce (or food processor)
– Rubber spatula for stirring zhoggiu sauce
– Small bowl to pour zhoggiu sauce into once combined

For the wine:
– 3 x wine glasses
– Wine key
– Water to drink
– Plates and napkins for snacks

 

Alternative wines:
If you are not in Seattle, or can’t make it to the Pantry to pick up a wine tasting pack, I recommend seeking out delicious wines from the regions we will cover during our happy hour:

Campania
Fiano di Avellino or Greco di Tufo
Type: Dry, still wine

Abruzzo
Trebbiano or Passerina
Type: Dry, still wine

Sicily
Catarratto, Grillo, Inzolia or Carricante
Type: Dry, still wine

If you are unable to find wine from these regions, just grab a glass of your favorite and you can still follow along and plan to explore some of these wines when you are able to seek them out.
