We are so excited to host you in our upcoming class! One week before class we will email everyone the complete shopping list and then a few days before class we will email the detailed recipe packet and a Zoom link. Until then, below is a list of ingredients and equipment that you’ll need.

On the menu:
Grilled beef and chicken kebabs with Suya spice rub
Pepper sauce
Fried yam

Shopping List:

Produce:
ginger
garlic
habanero
green bell pepper
yellow onion
African yam or white sweet potatoes

Dry Goods / Pantry:
roasted, unsalted peanuts
sugar
kosher salt
peanut oil
oil
bouillon cube
high heat oil, for frying

Proteins:
boneless skinless chicken thighs
flank steak

Spices:
garlic powder
ground cinnamon
ground cloves
nutmeg
ground coriander
smoked paprika
chili powder
cayenne pepper
black pepper
dried thyme

Equipment List:
3 cutting boards/rinse between use – cut veggies/yam first
Knife
1 small bowl for beef
1 small bowl for chicken
1 bowl for the cabbage
Wooden spoon for stirring
Food processor
1 rubber spatula
Meat tenderizer or rolling pin
2 medium bowls for suya rub
Gloves for handling the hot peppers (Note: will be included if you purchase an ingredients kit)
12ct 6” skewer sticks (Note: will be included if you purchase an ingredients kit)
Basting brush – 1 for chicken, 1 for beef
1 medium grill pan
1 medium frying pan for yam
1 small frying pan for making pepper sauce
Serving plates and small bowl for pepper sauce
Paper towels or newspaper for the fried yams
