We are so excited to host you in our upcoming class! One week before class we will email everyone the complete shopping list and then a few days before class we will email the detailed recipe packet and a Zoom link. Until then, below is a list of ingredients and equipment that you’ll need.

On the menu:
Gildas  (piparra pepper, manzanilla olive, and anchovy skewer)
Basque-style tortilla with piquillo cream
Pintxo de txampis (sherried mushrooms on toast)
Gambas al pil pil (shrimp in pepper garlic oil)

Shopping List:

Yukon Gold potatoes
garlic (13 cloves)
cremini mushrooms
Fresno chili


Dry Goods / Pantry:
Manzanilla olives
toothpicks (Note: will be included if you purchased an ingredients kit)
piparra peppers (or a pepperoncini if you can’t find piparras)
extra virgin olive oil
piquillo peppers (or roasted red bell peppers in a jar)
dry sherry
kosher salt
flake salt


smoked paprika
freshly ground black pepper

Equipment List:
5 serving plates for your tapas!
Parchment-lined cookie sheet
Cutting board
Chef’s knife
Spanish cazuela or a medium skillet for your shrimp dish
Large skillet for cooking your onions and potatoes for your tortilla
Medium skillet for your mushrooms (you can reuse the skillet from your tortilla onions also!)
6-inch cake pan, small skillet, or large ramekin for baking your tortilla (a small skillet will also work)
Small saucepan for your piquillo cream
Wooden spoon
Bread knife

Grocery Shopping Resources:
– DeLaurenti’s and Paris-Madrid grocery stores are great resources for all things Spanish and Basque, they should have your piparra peppers for gildas!
– You can get piquillo peppers at Central Market.
