Founded by Brandi Henderson and Sarah Wong, THE SEATTLE MEAT COLLECTIVE brings together local farmers, butchers, chefs and meat educators. Committed to sharing knowledge of how to source, purchase, butcher and preserve local meat, The Seattle Meat Collective partners with farmers who raise their animals humanely and brings them to market with integrity. Our butchers and chef instructors seek to educate the community about what quality meat should look like, how to butcher it, and the various ways it can be cooked and preserved. Through teaching these artisan butchery and curing techniques, our goal is to help our community cook, eat, and live in a way that preserves and supports our farms and food for generations to come.
