Italian Classics: Bolognese – December

The chilly months are upon us, so what better time to warm up your house with a pot of ragu bolognese bubbling on the stove? In this class Abby Canfield will guide you through building your soffrito base and then practice your patience while you find the ideal balance of tender meat and vegetables. While your sauce cooks, you’ll make creamy polenta and a bitter green salad with sunchokes, parmesan, and lemon vinaigrette, and learn tips for making a big batch to enjoy for days to come.

This class is a fundraiser for the Chief Seattle Club, a local nonprofit whose mission is to provide a sacred space to nurture, affirm, and renew the spirit of urban Native people.

This is a live, hands-on cooking class held in your kitchen via Zoom. Class is meant to be as interactive as it would be at our table, with the instructor teaching you how to prepare each recipe. Each class ticket is for one kitchen, and we welcome group cooking on the same screen. All recipes are designed for four servings.
