Contemporary Filipino – November

With over 7000 islands, and cultural influences spanning from Spain, to China, to Mexico, the Philippines basically invented fusion cooking. Join Jay Guerrero as he teaches you about the sweet, salty, and sour flavors that make up Filipino cuisine. You’ll learn how to make quick confit chicken thighs; arroz caldo (rice slow cooked in a ginger and garlic broth); crispy fried shallots; and wilted greens with chili-kumquat relish.

This is a live, hands-on cooking class held in your kitchen via Zoom. Class is meant to be as interactive as it would be at our table, with the instructor teaching you how to prepare each recipe. Each class ticket is for one kitchen, and we welcome group cooking on the same screen. All recipes are designed for four servings.

All classes are listed in Pacific Daylight Time.
