Chinese Takeout: Mushu Pork – October

A staple of Chinese home cooking, mushu pork originated in the Shandong province, and didn’t quite look like the dish you might be familiar with. In the 1960’s Chinese restaurateurs brought it to the United States, and it has slowly evolved into the format we know now: little pancakes, hoisin sauce, delicious filling. In this class JAY GUERRERO will show you how to make those Mandarin pancakes, homemade hoisin saucemushu pork, and gai lan (Chinese broccoli in oyster sauce) – fortune cookies optional!

This is a live, hands-on cooking class held in your kitchen via Zoom. Class is meant to be as interactive as it would be at our table, with the instructor teaching you how to prepare each recipe. Each class ticket is for one kitchen, and we welcome group cooking on the same screen. All recipes are designed for four servings
