We have all admired the beautiful, decadent dessert case at our favorite European bakery. In this class you will get to move past just pressing your nose against the glass as Marianna Stepniewski teaches you how to make jam, custard, and meringue to create some of her Central European favorites. On the menu: Austrian linzer cookies with raspberry elderflower jam; German dampfnudel (yeasted dumplings)with vanilla custard sauce and rhubarb; Polish tort bezowy (meringue cake) with mascarpone cream and strawberries; and Czech poppy seed kolacherolls.
