Italy might be the first place that comes to mind when we think of pasta, but across the Pacific there’s a whole world of Thai noodle dishes, whose big flavors and sheer variety leave spaghetti in the dust. In this class, Srisuda Dougherty will teach you how to recreate some of her favorites at home. You’ll learn about the different types of noodles in Thai cooking, and how to make noodles from scratch. You’ll use your newfound noodle knowledge to make pad see-ew gai (wide rice noodles with chicken, Chinese broccoli, and black soy sauce); pad kee meo neua (wide rice noodles with beef, chili, and basil); and the international favorite: pad Thai (thin rice noodles with prawns, tamarind, and peanuts).
