Summer is when nature really turns up the heat and paints the Northwest with color, and nothing captures the vibrancy of the season more than creating centerpiece arrangements with midsummer wildflowers. In this workshop, Renée Beaudoin will show you how to compose wild and textural large focal arrangements using the abundance of native blooms. You will learn tips and tricks for foraging, picking and working with fresh cuts, and how to sculpt visually stunning centerpieces that will become the heart of any room or gathering. We will be working with hues of the mountainside and meadows with flowers such as bells of Ireland, poppy pods and wild berries; weaving both delicate wildflowers along hardy grasses, seed-pods and more interesting textures. Everyone will make and leave with their own centerpiece creation.
