In this class, Thai chef Srisuda Dougherty will teach you about the rich culinary history of Thailand, while sharing some of her favorite recipes and techniques. You’ll learn how Thai cuisine incorporates the primary flavors of sweet, sour, savory, bitter, and spicy in unexpected combinations, giving you the confidence to approach Thai cuisine in your home kitchen. On the menu: yum tawai (northern Thai salad with banana flowers, bamboo shoots, spinach, peanut sauce, and crispy shallots); moo manao (pork tenderloin with spicy garlic lime sauce, Chinese broccoli stems and topped with mint); khao pad pu (fried rice with crab and cucumber) with homemade nam pla prik (lime-flavored fish sauce); and fak thong kaeng buat (kabocha squash in coconut milk).
