Exploring Italy: Sicily

Join us for the latest installment in our Exploring Italy series, where we’ll take a tour of the different regions in this food-obsessed country. This fall Kim Cozzetto Maynard will take us to the region of Sicily, where she’ll teach us about the local flavors, techniques, and traditions. You’ll make polpettine di cavolfiore (cauliflower fritters) with green olive sauce; caponata (fried eggplant, fennel, and peppers in a sweet and sour sauce); bucatini with fennel, pine nuts, bread crumbs, and currants; zuppa di pesce (seafood soup with squid, shrimp, clams, mussels, white fish, and tomatoes); and homemade cannoli with sweetened ricotta and candied citrus.
