In times of uncertainty, nothing comforts like the classics. Join bartender Jermaine Whitehead for this summer cocktails class, where you'll learn to make old-school cocktail ingredients from scratch for your home bar. He’ll show you all the tools and techniques you need to make craft cocktails, as well as a bit of cocktail history and some ideas for classic homemade syrups, sodas, and flavoring agents. You’ll learn how to mix and taste drinks for balance as you learn the classics: a martini, a pisco sour, a margarita, and an old fashioned.
This is a live, hands-on class held in your kitchen via Zoom. Jermaine will be teaching you how to prepare each cocktail, with a Class Lead supporting you throughout. Class is meant to be as interactive as it would be at our table, and we are keeping class sizes small to help facilitate this. Our online classes are great for groups, so each ticket is for one screen, with recipes designed for one cocktail. All classes are listed in Pacific Standard Time. This class is a fundraiser for Campaign Zero, an organization that was hand picked by Jermaine for their work that aims for us all to live in a world where the police don't kill people by limiting police interventions, improving community interactions, and ensuring accountability.
Please click here for information about the ingredients you’ll need, a list of suggested equipment, and recommendations from Jermaine about what to prepare ahead of time. There is currently no ingredients kit available for cocktail classes.
Two days before class we will email everyone the detailed recipe packet and a Zoom link.
